Filippo Bologni began riding at an early age, his father was an international show jumper for Italy. Filippo has competed in three Junior European Championships. He is a member of the National Military Police of Italy so his name is often seen with the prefix Carabiniere. He was named Best Military Horseman and given the Fair Play award at the 2012 Capitoline Piazza di Siena in Italy.
