The New York Empire powered by Lugano return home for GCL New York this Friday at Liberty State Park – don’t miss the home team in action.

As the Longines Global Champions Tour of New York takes centre stage this week, all eyes turn to Liberty State Park where the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty will provide the iconic backdrop for GCL New York on Friday 19 September. For the home crowd, it’s all about one team: New York Empire powered by Lugano.
Under the leadership of team owner Georgina Bloomberg, a visionary in the world of show jumping and a passionate supporter of the sport, New York Empire powered by Lugano are set to make their homecoming with a squad full of horsepower, grit and determination. Georgina will be on site in New York, standing firmly behind her riders as they battle for a coveted podium finish on home soil.
The Empire bring a formidable trio to Liberty State Park:
Scott Brash – a stalwart of the squad and one of the sport’s most decorated champions. Scott arrives with Hello Chadora Lady, the mare who has already carried him to LGCT Grand Prix victory in Shanghai earlier this season.
Denis Lynch – another long-standing team anchor, Denis brings both Katja and the experienced Brooklyn Heights, offering tactical options depending on the course.
Trevor Breen – the squad’s mid-season signing makes his Empire debut on American soil. With Highland President and Konrad Obolensky, Trevor brings fresh firepower to the home team.
Exactly how the Empire will deploy their strategy remains to be seen, but the combination of seasoned veterans and new energy promises fireworks for the home crowd. Backing this travelling trio is the full squad of Robert Murphy (U25), Michael Pender, and Bertram Allen – each of them adding depth and dynamism to the team’s campaign.
New York Empire currently sit 11th on 139 points, just one point behind Mexico Amigos powered by H5 (140) and two behind the St Tropez Pirates (141). The middle of the championship table is tighter than ever – with only 30 points separating 11th from 5th place (Riesenbeck International powered by HorseGym on 169). A strong home performance in New York could be enough to catapult the Empire into striking distance of the top five.
For New York Empire, this is more than a competition – it’s a chance to perform in front of their home fans, with the Statue of Liberty watching over. With Georgina Bloomberg leading the charge and a squad packed with experience and horsepower, the stage is set for an unforgettable Friday at Liberty State Park.
Don’t miss it – last tickets remain for GCL New York.

My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
