The European Summer Has Kicked Off

The European summer is underway on the Longines Global Champions Tour. From Madrid to Cannes, the opening weeks of the European leg have already delivered memorable performances, passionate crowds and the unmistakable atmosphere that makes this stretch of the season so special.

The European Summer Has Kicked Off

Madrid set the tone as Simon Delestre won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Madrid, adding another standout moment to the Spanish capital's rich history on Tour.

Since then, the European summer story has continued to unfold on the French Riviera. In Cannes, Abdel Saïd, reigning LGCT Super Grand Prix champion, claimed victory in another €500,000 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, while New York Empire celebrated GCL success in front of packed Riviera crowds.

Now the championship moves to neighbouring St. Tropez, where another weekend on the Côte d'Azur awaits before the Tour continues its journey through Europe's most iconic destinations.

Europe's Most Iconic Summer Stage

Paris follows beneath the Eiffel Tower at the Champ de Mars, one of the most recognisable sporting backdrops in the world, before the championship heads to Monaco, where Port Hercule delivers one of the most unique arenas on the calendar.

Year after year, Monaco delivers moments that live long in the memory, making it one of the most anticipated stops of the summer season.

The summer journey then continues to London, where world-class sport returns to the iconic setting of Royal Hospital Chelsea from 7 to 9 August, bringing the championship to the heart of the British capital.

Beyond the city stages, the Tour arrives at two of the sport's leading purpose-built venues.

Riesenbeck provides a showcase of sporting excellence before Valkenswaard welcomes Global Champions home to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Longines Global Champions Tour alongside the landmark 10th season of GCL at the Tour's headquarters in the Netherlands.

From Summer Into Autumn

As the season moves into autumn, the Tour continues through Vienna against the magnificent backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace before arriving beneath the ancient setting of Rome's iconic Circus Maximus in October.

Set in the heart of the Eternal City, Rome provides a fitting closing chapter to the European season before the Tour continues towards its next global chapter, including the landmark debut of Cairo later in the year.

From the French Riviera to the heart of London, from the harbour of Monaco to the splendour of Schönbrunn Palace and the ancient backdrop of Rome, the European summer offers a stage unlike any other in show jumping.
