Marcus Ehning’s Brand New GCTV Series Launches Today!

GCTV is today debuting 'Pursuit of Greatness: Marcus Ehning’, an exclusive ten-episode series starring sporting hero Marcus Ehning that unveils a new side of one of the greatest athletes in show jumping.

In the show jumping world very few have come close in comparison with this global phenomenon and gentleman of Marcus Ehning. With his exceptional knack for style, position, control and skill, episode one will start to unveil how Ehning achieved this. 

Marcus Ehning explained: "I've never revealed my thought process behind my techniques and management in such detail before, so I am excited to share it with show jumping enthusiasts for the first time. Filming Pursuit of Greatness with Global Champions was a great opportunity to dig deep and offer insight into how I approach and execute the different parts of my job."

The series was filmed in May and features Ehning’s long term Veterinarian Dr. Bjorn Nolting who sadly passed away after filming. With the full blessing of Nolting’s family and Ehning the episodes have been released in memory of him.

Each episode offers an exclusive look at Ehning's preparation, strategy, technique and even the struggles inside and outside of the show jumping ring. Marcus' close friend and colleague, world-class show jumper Ludger Beerbaum features alongside Valkenswaard United teammate Bertram Allen giving a new, unique and true insight into Ehning's life.

In the first episode available now on GCTV for free, Ehning talks in-depth about his daily routine and explains exactly what makes Comme Il Faut, Pret A Tout, Cornado, Funky Fred and Stargold all pivotal horses in his career.

During the My Ride episode, Ehning's Farrier David Bostock declares: "Marcus as a rider is a genius. He could sit on a 3* horse and win a 5* Grand Prix." while Ehning describes Cornado as 'really one of his favourite horses' and explains why if Funky Fred can't jump the biggest class 'no one can jump it'.

The focus of the series is to serve a passionate audience of superfans around the world with content that inspires, informs and entertains.
