Riesenbeck

Since 2016 Riesenbeck International GmbH provides training sessions all year round and organises competitions, thereby continuing with the long tradition of major events organised by the local riding club, the Zucht-, Reit- und Fahrverein Riesenbeck e.V. Whereas the focus in the past has been on altogether five World Championships of Pairs and 4-in-Hand Driving since the 1980ies, the offer today extends to three equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage and driving.

During the big summer event RIESENBECK INTERNATIONAL in June, competitions in all three disciplines are carried out simultaneously on one weekend. The German National Championship of 4-in-hand drivers has been part of this event on many occasions. In 2016, the German Youth Championship in show jumping and dressage took place in Riesenbeck for the first time. Both, the Youth Championship and championships in driving will continue to have a set place at the Surenburg.

Airport Location

The nearest airport to Riesenbeck is Muenster (FMO). However, there are better options for getting to Riesenbeck. National Express operates a train from Koeln Hbf to Rheine hourly. Tickets cost £35 - £45 and the journey takes 2h 30m. Deutsche Bahn Intercity-Express also services this route 5 times a day. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Muenster (FMO) to Riesenbeck via Saerbeck, Mitte and Saerbeck, Lindenstraße in around 1h 27m.
