WATCH NOW: Road to the Playoffs | Ludger Beerbaum

Taking on the opening stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour in 2022, Ludger Beerbaum secured top podium position in the LGCT Grand Prix of Doha, being the first rider to earn their golden ticket to the LGCT Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs this November. 

From castrating piglets, to University and ultimately taking a step back into retirement, we took a drive with the master himself, Ludger Beerbaum. 

The incredible Global Champions Playoffs will again be staged in the magical Czech capital Prague, one of the world’s most beautiful cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site, promising another week of unforgettable excitement for millions of equestrian fans worldwide. 

In order to earn their place in the starting order and to battle it out for the enviable top podium position, riders must qualify by winning the LGCT 5* Grand Prix at one of the Longines Global Champions Tour events throughout the year, or fall into second place behind an already qualified rider.​
