Vienna Awaits: The Longines Global Champions Tour Returns Bigger Than Ever in 2026

From 24–27 September 2026, the world’s best riders and horses will descend on the breathtaking Ehrenhof of Schönbrunn Palace for four unforgettable days where elite sport, imperial elegance and world-class entertainment collide.  

Following a sensational debut in 2025, Vienna returns bigger, bolder and with even more reasons to secure your seat early. Set against the iconic UNESCO World Heritage backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace, the Austrian capital will once again become the centre of the equestrian world as championship show jumping takes over one of Europe’s most stunning historic landmarks.  

For 2026, the event expands into a four-day sporting and lifestyle spectacular -  and for the first time ever in Vienna, international dressage will join the programme alongside the electrifying Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL team competition.  

Fans can expect an extraordinary mix of elite competition, glamour, culture and entertainment throughout the weekend. The world’s top-ranked show jumpers will battle for championship points under the lights in front of packed grandstands, while the tactical GCL team showdown promises edge-of-your-seat drama as the season heads into its decisive stages. Alongside the sport, visitors will experience premium hospitality, live entertainment, lifestyle activations, shopping villages, food experiences and family-friendly attractions - transforming Vienna into a true festival of equestrian sport.  

The addition of dressage marks an exciting new chapter for Vienna’s event, bringing together two of the sport’s most prestigious disciplines in one iconic destination. With more details set to be unveiled soon, the 2026 edition is already shaping up to be one of the standout events of the entire Global Champions season.
