Victor Bettendorf Takes the Win in CSI5* Prix PremiuMares 1.45m

Victor Bettendorf Takes the Win in CSI5* Prix PremiuMares 1.45m

The sun was shining in St. Tropez for the penultimate class of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Ramatuelle/St. Tropez 2024. Victor Bettendorf of Luxembourg took first place riding Big Star des Forets.

Victor Bettendorf took no prisoners as he flew over the course aboard his 13 year old mare. The lightning-fast Bettendorf claimed the top spot, coming home nearly five seconds faster than second place Carlos Hank Guerreiro of Mexico. Guerreiro made quick work of the course with his mount H5 Chacco-San but ultimately could not match the pace of Bettendorf. Pieter Devos rounded out the top three riding Jarina J. The Belgian rider soared over the course with his 10 year old chestnut mare but came in just 0.05 seconds behind Guerreiro to take third place.

Close behind was Gregory Cottard of France. Cottard delivered a quick, clear round aboard Gammelgaards Carola to secure fourth place. Completing the top five was British show jumping icon John Whitaker. Whitaker expertly piloted his mount Sharid through the course to take fifth place.
