The Longines Global Champions Tour makes its first European stop of the 2024 season in Madrid at the exclusive Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Join us as we watch the world’s top showjumping talent compete for victory at this incredible venue.
Situated in the heart of Madrid, the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid provides a picturesque backdrop for the fifth stage of the tour, combining modern amenities with a rich historical ambiance. Opened in 1931, the Club has a legacy of hosting world-class equestrian competitions and has evolved into a premier destination for riders and enthusiasts alike. In 1942, the Club merged with the Spanish Royal Equestrian Society to form the Royal Spanish Equestrian Society Country Club, and the construction of the social complex began at the same time as the plan was drawn up to promote equestrian sports, tennis, golf, hockey and swimming. Since then, the Club has continued to expand its facilities and membership.
Over the years, a number of sports facilities have been built in the Club’s vast 200 hectares. First class competitions of golf, tennis, riding, polo, hockey, squash, paddle, and more can be held at the same time, as well as a wide range of social and leisure activities, not to mention the Olympic-sized swimming pool with retractable roof that can be enjoyed all year round.
From May 17-19 the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid will see the world’s top showjumping talent descend from across the globe to battle it out for top honors in the LGCT of Madrid. Join us as we witness showjumping history in the making in the heart of Madrid.
My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
