Highly-respected FEI Jumping Director Marco Fusté has sadly passed away at the age of 60. Marco was a well-known and popular figure in the international show jumping world and widely admired for his experience and expertise in his roles at the highest level of the sport.
He was appointed FEI Jumping Director in February 2021 and saw his new role as the “pinnacle" of his career. He had previously served on the FEI Jumping Committee, as Spanish Chef d’Equipe and as Spanish Equestrian Federation Jumping Director since 2006, earning huge respect from show jumping athletes and stakeholders. Earlier in his career Marco had gained experienced in the wider world of sport working in roles in American Football and tennis.
Nothing was ever too much for Marco and he built lasting relationships and showed everyone he was always available to help. A passionate horse lover since he started riding as a child, Marco was committed to working as a mentor to help develop careers in the sport and will be sadly missed by all his colleagues and friends around the world.
