Tickets are on sale today for the opening event of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour at the spectacular venue of AL SHAQAB in Doha, Qatar.

The new season of the LGCT individual championship and GCL team series will kick off in Doha from 4 - 6 March.

The magnificent AL SHAQAB Equestrian Centre in Doha, part of Qatar Foundation, will provide the backdrop for a thrilling curtain-raiser for the 20201 Championship. Founded by His Highness The Father Emir, the world class venue will see top rider and horse combinations pull out all the stops to kickstart their bid for a strong start in the season-long battle for the LGCT and GCL titles. 

Locals and fans from all around the world watching on GCTV will be able to enjoy the dramatic views of the arena and watch top stop while also following social distancing. 

One week earlier, the exciting Commercial Bank CHI Al SHAQAB Presented by Longines will take place from 25 - 27 February at the Longines Arena at AL SHAQAB with participation of top-ranking international and local riders. CHI AL SHAQAB, presented by Longines is one of only five CHI competitions worldwide and the first and only equestrian event of its kind in the Middle East and Asia region.  Commercial Bank CHI Al SHAQAB Presented by Longines will also feature a range of educational and entertainment activities suitable for the entire family. AL SHAQAB will continue the tradition of Doha’s place on the LGCT circuit since 2008 building on Qatar's reputation as a global sports destination and a hub for major international events. Top-level shows such as the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL have been part of this evolution and Qatari national riders are increasingly prominent on the international show jumping stage.
