Thrilling day of CSI2* PremiuMares Action at Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome

Thrilling day of CSI2* PremiuMares Action at Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome

It was a day full of action-packed CSI2* finals on the last day of Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome first week.

The first class of the day was a French, Italian and Belgium podium with  Anne Botella and Dirtydance Brimbells taking the top spot of the podium in 35.65 seconds. A fraction of a second behind was Gioia Cremonse on FBW Casaraki in 35.74seconds. While Kasper de Boeck and Gerenia were the only other pair to finish sub 36 seconds and leave the jumps all up.

It was Ingrid Gjelsten who claimed top spot with 11 year old Alibi de la Roque in the exciting 1.30 Medium Tour jump off class. Home rider Filippo Martini di Cigala slid into second place on board Adamantea Dell'esercito Italia in 36.75 seconds while the only other double was Ines van den Bosch and Vedette in a slightly slower pace of 40.15s.

It was a home win for Francois Spinelli and Chacco Amicor Zm in front of a full crowd as they stormed to the win by over a second! Ingrid Gjelsten continued her flying form as she took the silver medal with Jackson vd Bisschop. The bronze position went to Clara Pezzoli and Valeur Devavite Z as the only other double clear of the day. It was a sensational Grand Prix and a spectacular display of horsemanship in the centre of Rome.

Next week will feature another LGCT Rome in the Circus Maximus which will also be a fantastic opportunity for talent to shine in the 2* competitions at the incredible new venue.

My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
