PRE-EVENT BRIEFING: LONGINES GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR OF NEW YORK

The Longines Global Champions Tour makes its much-anticipated return to New York from 19–21 September, transforming Liberty State Park into a stage for the very best in international show jumping. With the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty framing the action, this iconic stop is set to deliver three days of world-class sport and entertainment as the 2025 season enters its decisive stages.

The curtain rises on Friday 19 September, when all eyes turn to the GCL of New York. For the home team, New York Empire powered by Lugano, this is a moment of truth. As the championship battle intensifies, Empire will need every stride and every rail to go their way in Stage 12 of the season – and they’ll be counting on the roar of the home crowd to push them over the line.

MEET THE HOME TEAM

Tickets for the weekend have been snapped up at record pace, underlining New York’s reputation as one of the hottest destinations on the tour. The GC Lounge is now completely sold out, while Covered Grandstand seats are gone for Saturday and Sunday, with only a handful left for Saturday. Fans still have the chance to secure Uncovered Grandstand tickets across all three days, but availability is tight, and General Admission passes are also nearing capacity. With limited access remaining, those planning to be there should act quickly.

The provisional sports schedule promises a rich mix of competition and entertainment from morning until late afternoon each day. Friday will spotlight the tactical drama of the GCL of New York, while Saturday blends the full spectrum of sport – from 2* and Pony classes to a high-octane CSI5* 1.50m showdown. The grand finale comes on Sunday with the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of New York, where the world’s best will fight for glory against one of the most iconic backdrops in sport.

From sunrise in the stables to the final cheers in the grandstands, New York will once again capture the drama, glamour, and energy that makes the Longines Global Champions Tour a highlight of the sporting calendar.

My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
