The London leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour returns to the iconic Royal Hospital Chelsea, as it once again opens its gates to one of the most anticipated stage of the tour from 10 - 13 August . This highly anticipated event brings together the crème de la crème of equestrian sport. 

Year on year, spectators are treated to a true showdown of sport with athletes such as former championship winners such as British home-hero, Ben Maher and podium veteran John Whitaker, champion GCL teams such as Riesenbeck International powered by Kingsland, and Madrid in Motion. 

The Royal Hospital Chelsea, renowned for hosting the annual Chelsea Flower Show, provides an extraordinary setting for this top-tier competition. The South Grounds, leading down to the majestic River Thames, serve as the backdrop for the exhilarating weekend of sport and top tier hospitality. 

The picturesque landscape is complemented by the architectural splendour of the heritage buildings designed by the renowned Sir Christopher Wren. With its rich history dating back over 300 years, the Royal Hospital Chelsea has played a vital role in offering care and camaraderie to veterans known worldwide as the Chelsea Pensioners.

The London leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL holds a crucial position on the 2023 season calendar, serving as the 12th event in the circuit. Taking place during a pivotal stage in the 2023 season, this leg intensifies the ranking battle as riders vie for the final push towards the Championship finale in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and a coveted spot in the GC Prague Playoffs.
