Saturday at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid is off to an exciting start. Spain swept the top five in the CSI1* 1.15m Trofeo Mahou class.
Spain’s Miguel F Bañon Puente piloted his black mare Favella to victory, posting a swift, flawless round. Less than a second behind was Nerea Robles Aguirre. The Spanish rider claimed second place with the 12 year old bay, Geniale M-G C Leuze. Rounding out the podium was Clara Muñoz Garrabé of Spain aboard Sortilege 14 du Bary Z. The pair posted a quick, clear round to secure third place.
Fourth place went to Spain’s Silvia Zango Garcia. She delivered a clean, smooth round aboard the 16 year old gray stallion, Chillout Z. Completing the top five was Lucas Alvarez Fernandez-Bujarrabal of Spain riding Intriga del Amor 19 13. The pair rode clean to secure fifth place in the opening class this morning.
