Competition is well underway at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Rabat founded by Qatar’s Years of Culture as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture. Melissa Charlier claimed a second win for Morocco on day 1 in the CSI2* Against the Clock, No Jump Off 1.40m presented by ONMT.
Melissa Charlier raced across the course aboard Joker, stopping the clock at 65.16 seconds. Close behind was fellow Moroccan rider Ghali Chaoui. Chaoui delivered a strong round aboard Esperenzo but could not quite match the time of Charlier. Completing the top three was Brazil’s Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo riding Click Clack Vdc Z. The Brazilian rider rode quick and smooth to take third place.
Fourth place went to Abdeslam Bennani Smires of Morocco aboard Mister d'Eclipse, who stopped the clock at 69.31 seconds. Rounding out the top five was Morocco’s Hicham Er-Radi. The Moroccan rider added to the strong showing for the home country on day 1, coming home clear with Grand Cru de Conques.
