LGCT Vienna Pre-Event Briefing: Stage 13 at the Historic Schönbrunn Palace

From 26–28 September, the Longines Global Champions Tour makes its grand debut in Vienna, with the iconic Schönbrunn Palace providing a baroque backdrop for Stage 13 of the 2025 Championship race. It will be a weekend of elegance, drama, and world-class show jumping as the sport’s biggest names compete for precious points on the road to the Finals.

The line-up is nothing short of extraordinary. Two-time LGCT Champion Scott Brash, already a double Grand Prix winner this season, joins fellow 2025 dual winner Harrie Smolders. 2010 Champion Marcus Ehning and two-time Champion Edwina Tops-Alexander return with proven horsepower, while reigning LGCT titleholder Max Kühner rides before a passionate Austrian home crowd with Elektric Blue P.

Adding further star power, Sweden’s Peder Fredricson, Henrik von Eckermann, and Malin Baryard-Johnsson arrive with championship experience in abundance. From Belgium, Pieter Devos leads a strong contingent, while France’s Simon Delestre brings form and flair.
