Legendary stallion Arko passes away aged 27

The famous stallion Arko has sadly passed away at the age of 27.

Nick Skelton competed Arko on the Tour from 2006 through to 2008 having multiple top placings including a silver medal finish in the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Valkenswaard. The combination also represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2005 European Championships. Arko has produced some world-class offspring including the equally famous stallion Argento who was also a popular and successful horse on the Tour for many years.

Arko retired from the sport in 2008 and passed away today at Shaw Farm Stud, home of his long-term owners the Hales family.

Sending our condolences to all his connections.
