Competition is in full swing in Riesenbeck, Germany as the world’s best riders went head to head in the first 5* class of the weekend. American show jumping icon Laura Kraut claimed the top spot in Ludger’s Welcome Class 1.45m.
Laura Kraut secured first place aboard Bisquetta, posting the fastest times in both phase 1 and phase 2 of the class. Second place went to Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher. The German rider delivered a flawless performance aboard his mount Vestmalle des Cotis to take second. Rounding out the top three was Jérôme Guery of Belgium. Guery rode quick and clean aboard Careca LS Elite to claim third.
Close behind was Germany’s Jörne Sprehe riding Sprehe Hot Easy. Sprehe made quick work of the course but could not quite catch Guery. Completing the top five was Giacomo Casadei of Italy. Casadei rode smooth and clear aboard Marbella du Chabli to secure fifth place.
