Final preparations are underway for the highly anticipated Longines Global Champions Tour of Rabat founded by Qatar’s Years of Culture as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture. The fifteenth and final stage of the 2024 season will see the world’s top riders and horses converge on the Moroccan capital October 18-20 for the 2024 season Finals.
It’s a tight race in both the LGCT and GCL Championship races and the LGCT of Rabat is shaping up to be a nail-biting fight to the finish. In the GCL Championship race, all eyes will be on the Cannes Stars powered by Iron Dames as they look to cement their place in history claiming a championship title in their first season. But 2023 Championship winners, Riesenbeck International powered by Kindsland Equestrian, will not be backing down without a fight. The powerhouse team will be putting the pressure on the Cannes Stars as they battle it out in the final stage of the season.
In the LGCT Championship race, Austria’s Max Kühner and Germany’s Christian Kukuk will go head-to-head as they look to claim the 2024 Championship title. With just eight points between the riders, it will all come down to the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Rabat, where they will have one final chance to add crucial points to their season total. Also up for grabs next week, the final golden ticket to the 2024 GC Playoffs in Riyadh. With fourteen names already on the roster for the elite competition next month, we eagerly await to see who will add their name to the list of contenders facing off in the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Riyadh.
The Longines Global Champions Tour of Rabat promises a unique experience of thrilling sport coupled with Morocco’s rich heritage. In one week’s time riders and horses from across the world will converge on Rabat as they look to write their name in the history books and be crowned the 2024 season Champions.
My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
