Our thoughts go out to Julien Epaillard and his whole team after the sad news that the incredible Usual Suspect d’Auge has passed away.

The 14-year-old gelding had huge success with Epaillard on the Longines Global Champions Tour, with many wins, most notably taking top podium position in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris in 2017,  as well as taking the win in Doha in 2019. Always fast and furious the pair qualified for the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Prague in 2019 and will be missed hugely on the circuit.

In a statement released on their Instagram account, the team have informed the world of their favourite horses sad passing.

“Usual Suspect d’Auge, our favorite horse passed away yesterday. The entire Haras de la Bosquetterie team is obviously deeply sad. He has made the Auge affix known everywhere in the world, notably winning with Julien the prestigious Grand Prix of the Paris Eiffel jumping and the Global of Doha. He was a character. He will be truly missed by all of us!”
