Hugo Vicente Marco Claims Victory in the CSI1* 1.15m Trofeo Madrid Horse Week Class

The Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid has kicked off today with the CSI1* 1.15m Trofeo Madrid Horse Week class. The class saw Spain sweep the top 5 spots, an incredible showing for the home country in the first class of the weekend.

The top spot went to Spain’s Hugo Vicente Marco riding Indretto Dl Coco. Marco rode two quick and flawless rounds on his 9 year old bay stallion, earning him the top spot. Hot on his heels was Elena Fernandez De La Cuesta of Spain who piloted the 11 year old Red Flag de Walyro to a second place finish. Natalia Megias secured third place aboard Capri de Courcel with quick and clear rounds in front of the home crowd, securing a Spanish sweep of the top three. 

Not far off was Spain’s Alejandra Abando riding Chic and Go who secured fourth place with two skilled, quick rounds. Completing the top five was Nerea Robles Aguirre of Spain aboard Geniale M-G C Leuze who put in a clean round, earning the pair fifth place.

6th Place -       Maria Colsa Gutierrez, Ulises del Pomar (ESP)

7th Place -       Kateryna Downer, Idaloma (UKR)

8th Place -       Lucía Verdejo Estévez, Perico Migalinda (ESP)         

9th Place -       Eugenia de Borbón Vargas, Chathago (ESP)                                 

10th Place -    Clara Muñoz Garrabé, Sortilege 14 du Bary Z (ESP)
