Henrik von Eckermann Wins the CSI5* 1.45 Trofeo Grupo Eulen Class

It was a packed house for the first 5* of the day on day 2 of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid. World number one Henrik von Eckermann claimed victory with the fastest rounds in both phases of the two phase class.

Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden expertly piloted Glamour Girl to secure victory. He gave a master class in sunny Madrid aboard the 13 year old bay mare, making the challenging course look easy. Germany’s Marco Kutscher claimed second place with the 10 year old Outrageous Charmer. Kutscher made quick work of the course to secure second with the stallion. Completing the top three was Olivier Robert of France. Riding Espri du Figuier Aa, Robert delivered a flawless round to take third place.

Mouda Zeyada of Egypt finished fourth aboard Imagination Z. Zeyada posted a swift, clean round with his 11 year old chestnut gelding. Rounding out the top five was Portugal’s Duarte Seabra. The Portuguese rider narrowly secured fifth place aboard Dourados 2.
