The Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris kicked off today with the CSI1* 1.15m Prix de la Mairie du 16ème class. It was a home victory for French rider Helena Bukwald in the first class of the 2024 LGCT of Paris.
Helena Bukwald claimed the top spot aboard Maybe Brimbelles Z in the beautiful Bagatelle Park. Close behind was fellow French rider Jeanne de Lasteyrie riding Izaak. De Lasteyrie rode clear but could not quite catch Bukwald. Rounding out the top three was Eleanor Harmsworth of Great Britian. Harmsworth came home on a clean sheet with Janacek D to secure third place.
Not far off was Sabine Maitrot Charmasson of France. The French rider delivered a clear performance on her mount Guapa-S to take fourth. Completing the top five was France’s Caroline Baudry aboard Athina Larquey. Baudry rode quick and clear to claim fifth place.
