Reflecting on his win, Nicola paid tribute to his mare: “She has a heart of gold, she is a real lion in the ring… and it looks like she really likes Mexico City!” He also acknowledged the significance of his victory for the Philippaerts family legacy, following in the footsteps of his father, Ludo Philippaerts, the first-ever LGCT Champion of Champions in 2006.
