GC Destinations: Mexico City

Our GC Destinations series continues with a look back at the colourful and dynamic location of Mexico City. This stunning venue is a favourite with many top riders thanks to its world-class sweeping grass arena, and the incredible festival ambience of this fascinating city. Every year the event in Campo Marte in the heart of Mexico’s capital city draws thousands of passionate spectators, making for an electric atmosphere. 

Mexico City is a buzzing metropolis, renowned for hosting high profile sporting events. Mexico’s capital has been home to two World Cups (1970 and 1986) and the 19th Olympic Games (1968), as well as welcoming Formula 1, ATP tennis, PGA golf and Formula E.
