Former Dutch footballer Willy van de Kerhof has been announced today as an ambassador for the world-class equestrian facility in Valkenswaard, Tops International Arena. The midfielder who played for Twente FC and PSV until 1988 will join forces with Jan Tops to elevate Tops International Arena within the national community.
Van de Kerkhof appeared 63 times for his country, scoring five goals including playing for the Dutch national team that made the World Cup final in 1974 and 1978. After his active career as a professional football player, Willy van de Kerkhof started working as a professional networker and business liaison. In this capacity, he built up a huge business network which he will be able to support the world-class show jumping facility in Valkenswaard with. Willy gets energy from connecting the right people and companies from his network which will be a fantastic asset for the equestrian sports industry.
Commenting on the new partnership Van de Kerhof said: 'I feel honored to start working as an ambassador of the Tops International Arena. With his passion, drive and vision, Jan Tops has created something in the Netherlands and worldwide that is unparalleled in equestrian sport'.
Jan Tops explained: “We are delighted to have Willy on board! He is a very well respected sportsman and businessman and we have already started making great progress with the partnership. I’m looking forward to seeing what it will bring this year at Tops International Arena.”
Together with Jan and his team, Willy will further expand the events Tops has organised in Valkenswaard in recent years and make them even better known in the Brainport region and beyond. Events where top-class sport, entertainment and Brabant / Dutch hospitality and conviviality come together. Events where people like to come because it is Top(s) to be there with top-level sport and entertainment for the whole family.
My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
