De Boeck and Never Sky van het Kritrahof Fly to Victory in CSI2* 1.30m Table A at LGCT Monaco

Under the golden Riviera sun on Day 2 of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco, Belgian rider Kasper de Boeck delivered a commanding performance in the CSI2 1.30m Table A* class. Riding the expressive Never Sky van het Kritrahof, de Boeck took top honours with a lightning-fast clear round in 54.46 seconds, edging out a competitive field in one of the tightest arenas on tour.

The 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding by Triomphe de Riverland showed off his agility and sharp technique as he navigated the technical Monaco track with precision – a standout result for the duo.

Second place went to Tess Carmichael of Great Britain aboard the experienced Bangle SR, a 16-year-old mare by Chin Chin. Carmichael’s polished round in 57.52 seconds secured her the runner-up spot with a stylish and composed performance.

Joining her on the podium was compatriot George Whitaker, riding Zirocca Zoom. The grey 10-year-old mare by VDL Zirocco Blue showcased scope and composure, stopping the clock at 60.17 seconds to take third. The pair ride for owner Martin (Thomas) Wood and breeder Rachael Evison.

Local interest was high for Monaco’s Kristina Klebanova, who rode Fanfreluche de Rialfo Z into a well-deserved fourth place. With a tidy clear in 61.91 seconds, Klebanova gave the home crowd reason to cheer in the shadow of the Prince’s Palace.

French talent Flore Giraud took fifth with Gabonne Champeix (62.14 sec), while Brazil’s Felipe Coutinho Mendonca Nagata rounded out the top six on Nektar de Vauxelles, producing a steady clear in 68.44 seconds.

With the picturesque Port Hercule setting the stage and tension rising ahead of the weekend’s five-star showcase, the CSI2* classes continue to offer thrilling competition and rising stars a place to shine.
