A Fight for First! GCL Finals 2022

With a fight for pole position, tensions are high heading into the GCL Final for 2022!  

The Stockholm Hearts, powered by H&M We Love Horses have reclaimed top spot after an impressive display in New York City. Just when we thought the race to the final podium couldn’t get any closer, just one point behind is the ever-consistent Berlin Eagles powered by Fundis.  

The Stockholm Hearts is represented by the impressive Peder Fredricson, Swedish sensation Malin Baryard-Johnsson and 2021 GCL Super Cup winners Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts who feature alongside young talent USA’s Lillie Keenan and U25 rider Lily Attwood. 

Looking to maintain their form right until the very end, the leading team have had an incredible season with a win in Doha, a win in Ramatuelle / St Tropez, plus a second place in Monaco and Valkenswaard. 

This year’s Final is taking place where the past and future of Saudi Arabia collide. Diriyah, just north of the country’s capital, Riyadh, is considered the center of Saudi Arabia’s rich history and a UNESCO heritage site. A sprawling city of 6.5 million, Riyadh is a bustling city and the pinnacle of modern lifestyle.
