Ticketing for the 40th Edition of the LGCT - Jumping International de Cannes is Open!

In a few weeks, the residents of Cannes will get to enjoy 12 day of festival and enchantment between the 16th-27th of May, followed by 3 days of the highest level of show jumping competition. The Jumping International de Cannes, sixth stage of the renowned Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT), most endowed circuit in the world, returns for its 40th edition: a significant milestone, from the 8 to 10 June 2023.

To make sure you don’t miss out on this historic event, you can buy your tickets online starting today.

If the Cannes Film Festival is renowned for its montée des marches, for the lively Croisette, the glamorous atmosphere and its star-studded line-up, the LGCT - Jumping International de Cannes is no exception.

After walking the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals, some of them have made a habit of extending their stay on the French Riviera in order to attend the Saint-Tropez LGCT competition on the beach of Pampelonne, and then the legendary Jumping de Cannes. Amongst them, Georgina Bloomberg, Marta Ortega Pérez, Jessica Springsteen, Athina Onassis, Jennifer Gates, Mary-Kate Olsen and Kathryn Fanshawe... all of them are loyal to the Côte d’Azur competitions.

Every year, whether they are owners or experienced riders, they gladly swap their gala dresses for white trousers and a pair of boots to rub shoulders with the world’s top show jumpers... and with success ! In 2022 the heiress of the Inditex empire, Marta Ortega Pérez’s horses placed 3rd in the GCL team test competition under the saddle of the Dutch riders Eric and Maikel Van der Vleuten. Meanwhile the English rider Kathryn Fanshawe won the CSI1* at 1.10m on Thursday.

Created in 2006, by the businessman and former international rider, Jan Tops, the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL is one of the most prestigious in the world and often compared to the Formula 1 circuit. In 2023, no less than 16 stages are on the program, in some of the world’s most beautiful cities, and a record prize fund of over 36 millions is announced. After the season launch in Doha (4-6 March), the tour will head to Miami, Mexico City, Madrid, Saint- Tropez, Cannes, Stockholm, Paris, Monaco, London, Rome, New York and Riyadh before finishing in Prague for the grand finale. Renowned destinations for a competition of excellence !

Located just at stone’s throw from the Croisette, in the emblematic Hesperides Stadium, the Jumping International de Cannes is, like the film festival, part of the city’s history. Since 1982, François Bourey, President of the competition, has always welcomed the greatest show jumping champions with the same enthusiasm and offers a show as grandiose as it is exciting during 3 days. An event that has become, in 40 editions, a must for the people of Cannes and for some celebrities, who meet each year in the magnificent boxes set up for the occasion.

On the agenda to celebrate this significant milestone will be shows and an anniversary party. Just a few days before the beginning of the summer, the 40th edition of the LGCT - Jumping International de Cannes will be the opportunity to admire the best of equestrian sports, while enjoying festive evenings, mixed with the Mediterranean sweetness of life.

*Open access before 5pm, admission free of charge for children under 4 and for people with reduced mobility during the entirety of the event. Possibility to enjoy a glamorous dinner at the Jumping’s restaurant.
