This week the Longines Global Champions Tour heads to the south of France for the first of three stops along the French Riviera. As the world’s top riders and horses prepare to descend on Pampelonne Beach, we take a look back at the past winners of the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Ramatuelle/St. Tropez.
In the inaugural year of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Ramatuelle/St. Tropez in 2018, Britain's Ben Maher and his mount Winning Good claimed victory in the grand prix with two flawless rounds. In 2019, Jessica Springsteen of the USA secured the top spot aboard RMF Zecilie riding clear in a jump off of fourteen riders.
After a brief break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Longines Global Champions Tour returned to the shores of Pamaelonne Beach in 2021. That year saw Sweden’s Peder Fredricson and Catch me Not S claim victory when Fredricson and his mount were only one of two combinations to jump clear in the jump off.
In 2022, the trophy once again went to a Swedish rider. Malin Baryard-Johnsson took the top spot riding H&M Indiana clear in a jump off of twelve riders. Last year in 2023, Julien Epaillard narrowly claimed the win aboard Donatello d’Auge by less than half a second.
As the eyes of the equestrian world turn to Pampelonne Beach, we eagerly await to see who will be victorious in this year’s Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Ramatuelle/St. Tropez. Join us as we witness showjumping history in the making and learn who will secure their golden ticket to the LGCT Playoffs in Riyadh this November.
My vision is clear. Only the best for the best.
