As anticipation reaches fever pitch, the stage is set for the most electrifying showdown in the history of GCL. Brace yourselves for a season of heart-stopping action, dramatic twists, and fierce competition as the 2024 GCL teams prepare to ignite the arena.

In what promises to be a turbo-charged championship race, the battle lines have been drawn, and the teams are primed for glory. Over the past few months, team owners, managers, and trainers have been on overdrive, making jaw-dropping signings and trades to assemble the ultimate dream teams, setting the stage for a showdown of epic proportions.

For the first time ever, the 2024 season boasts an all-female team, breaking barriers in the world of show jumping. But that's not all—get ready for a wave of French flair as the 2024 lineup features the highest number of French riders in GCL history. With three exhilarating events set in the heart of France, the stage is set for a homegrown spectacle like never before, captivating audiences and igniting national pride.

Over the past couple of months, each team has announced their squads which include the likes of world number one Henrik von Eckermann (Scandinavian Vikings), two-time Longines Global Champions Tour champions Edwina Tops-Alexander (Valkenswaard United) and Scott Brash (New York Empire powered by Lugano Diamonds). Show jumping legends John Whitaker (Valkenswaard United) and Christian Ahlmann (Shanghai Swans) along with big new names returning to the circuit for 2024 including Simon Delestre (Doha Falcons), Sanne Thijssen (Cannes Stars powered by Iron Dames) and Marco Kutscher (Rome Gladiators powered by ClipMyHorse.TV).

As announced yesterday reigning champions Riesenbeck International powered by Kingsland Equestrian only made one addition to their team of Harry Allen (U25) to join the winning combination of Christian Kukuk, Philipp Weishaupt, Eoin Mcmahon, Philipp Schulze Topphoff and Jane Richard.

Both Monaco Aces powered by Lion of Porches and Mexico Amigos have had a re-brand over the winter with both teams fielding almost completely new squads. The Aces bring on Gregory Cottard as team anchor and the Mexico Amigos secure Giacomo Casadei (U25), Mike Kawai, Mouda Zeyada, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes, Carlos Hank Guerreiro and Nadja Peter-Steiner.

From the pulse-pounding thrills of the opening round in Doha to the heart-stopping climax at the GCL Super Cup in Riyadh, every moment of the 2024 season promises to be an adrenaline-fuelled rollercoaster ride.
