Rabat Delivers the Final Name

Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli claimed the last available Golden Ticket with an emotional victory aboard Iron Dames Calvino II de Nyze Z in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Rabat.

The Swedish rider’s triumph completed the exclusive field of 15 and secured her first appearance in the LGCT Super Grand Prix. Arriving in Verona on the back of that memorable performance, she adds another compelling contender to a lineup packed with talent.

The qualification battle has taken riders across the globe. With every place now decided, attention turns to who can deliver when they meet in the same arena.

Returning Champions Ready for More

Abdel Saïd heads to Verona with the opportunity to crown an exceptional season. The 2025 LGCT Super Grand Prix winner and newly crowned 2026 LGCT Champion returns to defend his title, having secured his Golden Ticket in Cannes.

He knows what it takes to win on this stage. But so does Victor Bettendorf.

The 2024 LGCT Super Grand Prix winner booked his return through Riesenbeck and will have his sights set on lifting the trophy once again. With both recent winners in the field, the challenge is clear for the riders hoping to add their own names to the roll of honour.

Can Saïd make it back-to-back victories? Will Bettendorf reclaim the title? Or will Verona celebrate a new champion?

Four Debutants, One Huge Opportunity

For Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli, Sophie Hinners, Stephan de Freitas Barcha and Piergiorgio Bucci, Saturday 21 November will mark a first appearance in the LGCT Super Grand Prix.

Hinners earned her place with a breakthrough LGCT Grand Prix victory in Vienna, while Barcha secured his ticket in Monaco. Bucci qualified in Mexico City and will now have the opportunity to compete for the title in front of a home crowd.

For Italian fans, his appearance brings an extra reason to be in the stands. The support inside Veronafiere could provide a powerful soundtrack to one of the biggest nights of his season.

All four have already delivered when it mattered to qualify. Now they face a new challenge: turning a debut into a winning performance.

With Christian Kukuk, Max Kühner, Simon Delestre and Katrin Eckermann joining the returning champions and debutants, there is quality throughout the field. Brothers Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts will both be in contention, alongside Pieter Devos, Yuri Mansur and Anastasia Nielsen.

Every rider has earned the right to be here. Only one will leave Verona as the 2026 LGCT Super Grand Prix winner.
