The sky just got brighter as the Monaco Comets powered by Iron Dames prepare for their debut GCL season. Following the resounding success of the Cannes Stars, the Iron Dames are doubling down on their mission to champion women in equestrian sport by launching a second all-female team. The Monaco Comets are here, and they’re ready to make history.
 

After the Cannes Stars’ spectacular championship victory in 2024, Iron Dames founder & Monaco Comets Team Owner & Manager Deborah Mayer is determined to build on that legacy: “Equestrian sport holds a special place in my heart. The Cannes Stars’ victory was a profoundly moving moment, showing that, together, we can achieve the extraordinary. With the Monaco Comets, we are writing a new chapter of shared passion and ambition, offering even more women the chance to rise, succeed, and leave a legacy.

Meet the Monaco Comets: A Stellar Squad Ready to Shine

 

• Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli (SWE): A fearless competitor, Angelica is ready to bring her speed and precision to the team. “Being part of an all-female team is something powerful—it’s more than just a collaboration; it’s a celebration of strength, unity, and ambition. I am very thankful for the opportunity”
• Ines Joly (FRA): One of France’s rising talents, Ines has been recruited after her stellar year last year including winning the €1.5 million LGCT Monaco Grand Prix and is determined to make her mark in the GCL. “I’m honoured and excited to join the Iron Dames and the Monaco Comets. Being part of a team with such a strong vision and passion is incredibly inspiring. I’m ready to give my best to contribute to our success.”
• Ioli Mytilineou (GRE): Greece’s brightest show jumping star, Ioli is bringing her epic energy and competitive spirit to the Comets. “I feel grateful and honoured to be part of the Iron Dames project. As a new team alongside five other strong women, I’m very excited to see what this season has in store for us.”
• Jeanne Sadran (FRA): Making a trade from the Shanghai Swans, Jeanne is a bold and talented young rider, who's eager to play her part in this all-star team. “I’m very happy and thankful to be part of this amazing project. Let’s hope this season will be successful, shared with incredible women!”
• Jörne Sprehe (GER): As her debut in the GCL team series Jörne will be a key player in the Comets' success with her fierce determination and elite experience. “I am very proud to be a team member of the Iron Dames. We have a fantastic and motivated team with the Monaco Comets. I’m very thankful for this new adventure!”
• Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS): One of the most decorated riders in the sport, Edwina’s leadership and experience will be invaluable as she swaps from Valkenswaard United to the Comets this year: “I’m very excited and thrilled to be part of the Iron Dames project. We have a fantastic strong team, and I can’t wait for this new adventure to begin.”
