Spectacular Dutch Championship of Dutch Young Horses Begins Today at Tops International Arena

A spectacular four week feast of show jumping kicks off today at the stunning home of the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL, Tops International Arena, Valkenswaard. 


The action gets under way with the Dutch Championship of Dutch Young Horses from 17 - 19 August, with the list of entries representing 22 countries including Afghanistan, Costa Rica, Sweden and USA, and featuring top names including regular faces on the LGCT and GCL circuit, Hamburg Giants team rider Bart Bles and Prague Lions’ Jur Vreiling who will bring their young horses to compete this week. 


Around 500 horses travelled to Tops International Arena for the prestigious Dutch Championship of Dutch Young Horses, and today the five, six and seven year old horses competed in the impressive setting in Valkenswaard. 


In each class, 70% of the combinations will go forward to the second round tomorrow. A total of 365 combinations started across the different categories with impressive breeding on display in the talented line-up of young horses. 


These events provide a unique opportunity for young horses and riders to compete on a world-class stage at this prestigious venue, showcasing the future stars of show jumping. Fans around the world will be able to watch all the action unfold in a daily live stream on TIA TV, with the opportunity to catch exceptional young talent in action each day.
