Meet the Team: Miami Celtics
The Miami Celtics are back in action for the 2020 season in a completely fresh line up. The team will compete in their home city of Miami Beach on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as across the tour’s events around the globe for those all-important podium placings, and the new combination of riders will be ones to watch this year.
A brand new roster of competitors are riding for the Miami Celtics team for this fresh season. Abdel Saïd and Mohamed Talaat join the team, alongside Maurice Tebbel, Jorge Matte Capdevila, Ellen Whitaker, and U25 talent Gilles Thomas. The team will be looking to utilise top horsepower plus young talent to make their mark at each leg, employing their best tactics to choose the best riders and horses for the varying locations and arenas.
The Celtics emerged victorious in the GCL of Miami Beach and Paris and finished in second place in Hamburg and Cannes in 2019, and will be looking for more solid performances this year to reach the coveted top places on the leaderboard.
Following a good performance in Doha, Qatar, earlier this year, the team are sitting in a strong position in fourth place on 19 points, primed to make their mark at the next events and move towards the top spots. Who do you think will be the next riders and horses to be fielded at this year’s competitions?
