Hall of Fame: Podium

We've loved hearing about your favourite horses from our recent Hall of Fame series, with so many fantastic memories and thoughts shared on these stunning equine athletes.

We selected a podium of winners from our favourite comments, and here they are:

1st Place: Lizzie Sladdin

On Scott Brash’s horse Ursula - “I love Ursula because of her personality and connection with Scott. He knew when he first saw her, that she was going to be a future top horse, and always followed her progress at the shows. He knows her inside out, and this shows in their results in the big classes! She won the 2018 LGCT Mexico GP, the 2017 LGCT Doha GP, came third in the 2014 WC Final, helped GBR to 2nd at the 2016 Nations Cup final and has been placed in an outstanding number of Grand Prix!”

2nd Place: Heather Haworth

On Marcus Ehning’s horse Funky Fred - “Funky Fred is my favourite horse for a few reasons. Marcus bred him and did not have time for him right away, but when he made time for Fred he excelled beyond everybody’s expectations. You can see the love in his eye for Marcus and the love on Marcus’ eye for him. He is the horse with the BIGGEST HEART!! I feel it is important to reward MARCUS and FRED as horsemanship and commitment is the benchmark that must be rewarded for young riders to to understand. Every horse Marcus rides displays the same love and heart for him!! No need to say anything else as actions speak louder than words"

3rd Place: Marlen Hjertaas

On Harrie Smolders' horse Emerald N.O.P. - “ Emerald is definitely my favourite so far! Loved his attitude in the arena and he was absolutely amazing to watch. Their winning round in 2017 LGCT of Chantilly will be one to remember!”
