The GCL Chantilly final looks set to be an electrifying battle of the best. Teams have been finalising their tactics overnight to enhance their chance for a podium finish. Today there have been the most team changes so far this season proving the team managers know these next few events are crucial in the gallop towards the end of the season.
Interestingly both of the teams on a score of 0 faults, the Berlin Eagles and Miami Celtics have decided to keep their combinations exactly the same as yesterday. Clearly, both the horses and riders are on form at the moment but will they be able to keep the poles from falling?
The other two teams who feel confident enough to not make any changes are the Prague Lions and Doha Falcons. Will Vermeir will team up with Marco Kutscher again while new to the team series this year Bronislav Chudyba will stay partnered up with Michael Whitaker.
Over half of the teams have made some crucial horse changes. Currently in third place, Valkenswaard United keep Marcus Ehning on the famous stallion Comme Il Faut but Bertram Allen will substitute 15-year-old Molly Malone V for his other grey Harley Vd Bisschop.
The Paris Panthers and Scandinavian Vikings make the most changes. Both teams bring in their third rider as well as opting for fresh horsepower in the hope to climb to the top of the leaderboard.
Ranking leaders the Shanghai Swans are currently on 8 faults putting them in 10th position. In today’s final Pius Schwizer will stay on his beautiful bay Living The Dream, while teammate Shane Sweetnam brings in his more experienced horse Indra Van De Oude Heihoef.
