Flashback: The Best of Paris 2019

The 11th leg of the 2019 season saw the Longines Global Champions Tour return to Paris, the 'City of Lights', setting world-class show jumping right in front of one of the world's most iconic landmarks, the Eiffel Tower.

One of the most visited cities in the world, Paris is brimming with famous attractions and landmarks. With a huge range of stunning sights including Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the River Seine, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the Moulin Rouge - there is so much to see and do. The grandeur and magic of this city have been described by many famous writers  and Paris also boasts a high concentration of national and international political, scientific and cultural institutions. Paris is also known as a legendary centre of fashion and haute couture tailoring, and Paris Fashion Week is still one of the most celebrated events in the fashion world.

The LGCT Grand Prix went to Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Take A Chance On Me Z, and the German champion displayed all his class and experience piloting his 10-year-old home bred stallion to victory. He was rewarded with a respectful standing ovation as the evening sunlight bathed the arena in magical light.

The GCL team competition was hard-fought with some real displays of determination, but it was the strong Miami Celtics duo of Jessica Springsteen and Shane Breen that powered to victory.
