Darragh Kenny Tops Young Horse Final in Showstopping Third Day at Tops International Arena

The final day of competition in the CSI2*/CSIYH1* at Tops International Arena featured stunning performances from top riders, with future talent shining in the Young Horse Final class this afternoon.


Irishman Darragh Kenny took the first and second spots with the only two double clears in the competitive 1.30/1.35m class, piloting Chester to the top of the podium and Dakota de l'Ardrais to second place. British rider Joe Clee took third place with Olyda vd Bisschop, picking up just four faults. Speaking after his spectacular results, Darragh said "I’m thrilled with my horses today, it’s great to be able to bring young horses to compete in the big arena and top-level atmosphere of Tops International Arena, it’s invaluable for their development and learning. To be placed first and second is incredible, I’m very pleased. It’s been a great show, the facilities are top class and I’m looking forward to coming back next week for the 5* show."

Riders now look ahead to next week's CSI5* competition including the GC Grand Prix of Valkenswaard presented by TENNOR and the GCL of Valkenswaard presented by Stal Tops from 10-13 September, with the lineup of world-class riders announced tomorrow.
